Reddish Vale Farm was constructed in the mid-19th century, on land which had once formed part of Reddish Hall estate.
From the early 1930’s until late 1990, Reddish Vale was a working dairy farm. After being stood derelict for several years the Dillon family then took on the task to develop Reddish Vale Farm.
1997 was the start of the riding school, shortly followed by the tearooms which served their first customer in August 1999; the animal farm opened its doors in July 2003.
The inspiration of an animal farm came from the Dillon family visiting Stockley Farm many years prior. In Summer 2003 the farm opened its doors to the general public where the main aim was to educate inner city children on how to look after animals. In 2006 the farm was able to offer school visits to develop children’s knowledge in animal care.
Birthdays parties started in 2007, and have become notoriously famous as our speciality.
From a small play area to now expanding to a large outdoor adventure play including airbouncers, indoor play area, ride on tractors and sand diggers.
Tractor rides now take place throughout the weekends and bank holidays at set times (please see ‘Plan your day’ page).
The farm runs several different events throughout the year
The farm is now one of the major tourist attractions in Cheshire, attracting visitors from all over the country. We consistently strive to enhance the variety of our animals and their welfare and our public service to provide a memorable day out for all the family.
